Day-to-Day:
• Support Hertz's enterprise MuleSoft retirement initiative
• Design and develop modern Java-based integration solutions
• Build REST APIs and microservices
• Create direct system-to-system integrations
• Develop middleware and translation layers when necessary
• Support migration of approximately 50+ remaining integrations
• Partner with existing engineers who understand the current MuleSoft environment
• Participate in architecture discussions and modernization efforts
• Own and support groups of applications and related integrations
• Leverage AWS services to build scalable backend solutions
• Help establish the future-state integration architecture
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking Java Backend Developers for a leading transportation and mobility organization undergoing a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative. These consultants will play a key role in helping replace MuleSoft as the company's integration platform and modernize the way systems communicate across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience building Java/Spring Boot microservices, developing REST APIs, and creating scalable integration solutions within AWS environments. Rather than supporting a single application, these developers will own multiple integrations and help design innovative solutions that connect critical business systems. This is an exciting opportunity to influence architecture decisions, contribute to a high-visibility modernization effort, and work on a long-term transformation project with strong extension potential.
