Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Benefits Specialist for a 4-month contract based in a full-time, in-office environment near the airport. This role is ideal for a highly organized and approachable professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume settings. The successful candidate will independently manage daily payroll and benefits operations while acting as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring accurate processing and strong communication across stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of payroll experience, preferably in high-volume environments
- Strong ability to manage large volumes of transactions with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and stay on track
- Experience using large payroll systems (Dayforce experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for handling high email volume and stakeholder interactions
- Professional and approachable demeanor for in-office employee support
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Retirement Savings Plans (RSP) or pension programs
- Positive, engaging personality ("people-first" approach)
