Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a hands-on business partner to the CFO, CEO, and business presidents, balancing strategic financial thinking with operational execution. On a daily basis, this role oversees the close and financial reporting process across a complex, multi-entity environment while partnering with leadership to translate financial data into actionable business insights. The Controller leads and develops the accounting team, strengthens controls and processes, supports budgeting and forecasting, and works closely with operations, IT, and project leaders to support growth, change, and continuous improvement—well beyond just the numbers.

Day to Day:
• Lead preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Coordinate and communicate close deadlines across accounting and business teams
• Oversee accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Billing
• Manage and mentor a team of ~11 accounting, payroll, and billing professionals
• Design, enforce, and improve internal controls and segregation of duties
• Partner with Presidents, Owners, CFO, and CEO to deliver actionable financial insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by business and segment
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and banking relationships
• Ensure timely filing and payment of sales, use, property, state, and federal taxes
• Manage inventory accounting across multiple locations, including physical counts
• Collaborate with IT on ERP support, data integrity, and system improvements
• Act as a forward-thinking business partner, helping leadership plan for growth locally and globally

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong financial reporting and month-end close ownership (GAAP; books kept on tax basis)
• Internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance leadership
• Inventory and cost accounting (manufacturing and/or project-based)
• Treasury, cash flow, and working capital management
• Sales, use, and property tax oversight
• Payroll oversight (Paylocity experience preferred)
• ERP experience
• Proven leadership managing and developing accounting teams
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and build connections with these teams and lead
• Curiosity to do better and help the business grow

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Corporate Controller experience in a multi-entity environment
• Project controlling / project management exposure
• Factory or plant controlling experience
• M&A or integration experience (future-facing)
• Global accounting exposure
• System upgrades or ERP transitions
o D365 preferred
• Medius AP system experience
