Job Description

SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator Responsibilities:

System Maintenance: Install, configure, patch, and upgrade BOBJ server components, including starting/stopping servers and managing server intelligence agents. Perform health checks and monitor the CPU and memory utilization and disk space.

User Management: Create/manage users, user groups, and security access levels to reports and folders.

Content Management: Organize objects, manage migrations (promoting content from Dev to Prod), and maintain universes.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor server activity, manage object schedules, and troubleshoot report failures.

License Management: Track and manage BOBJ licenses.

Work with Vendor: Work with SAP for any critical issues and vulnerabilities.

Tableau Administrator Responsibilities:

Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server environments, including node management and high-availability configuration.

Security & Governance: Manage user access via projects and groups and enforce data governance standards.

Performance Optimization: Monitor system health, track usage statistics, and optimize dashboard performance.

Content Promotion: Promote, certify, and publish content (dashboards, workbooks, data sources).

Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute version upgrades and automated maintenance tasks.

Common Core Responsibilities Troubleshooting: Analyze logs and resolve performance or technical issues.

Support & Training: Provide user training and support for tool functionality.

Automation: Automate routine maintenance tasks.

License and Permission provisioning: Provide respective license and permission to the Tableau site and workbooks. Coordinate with site/dashboard owners to get appropriate approval and license.

Required Skills & Experience

APOS activities w.r.t BO: Configure APOS with Business Objects and perform admin activities. Setup BO bursting jobs, Object packages, bulk scheduling of reports, monitor APOS scheduled jobs, run usage reports on ad hoc basis, update APOS licensing and check audit data.

Trauma One: Trauma One is the registry platform utilized by our trauma program. Providing access to users, troubleshoot user issues and errors, work with vendors for patches, upgrades and dictionary updates.

NTRACS: Application has document module that has been around for years. Provide access to users to the respective folders, set them up with contribute permission, work with vendor for patches, upgrades and dictionary updates.
