Job Description
This Sr. Project Manager will oversee electric capital projects focused on improving system reliability, increasing capacity, and reducing wildfire risk across this utilities service territory. The individual will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including project planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, budget management, risk mitigation, and project closeout.
Projects may include transmission and distribution upgrades, substation modernization efforts, large customer load projects, LGIA initiatives, and other critical electric infrastructure improvements. The PM will lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project schedules and budgets, facilitating stakeholder meetings, preparing status reports, managing risks and change requests, coordinating project resources, developing bid packages and Statements of Work, and driving project execution from conception through completion. This individual will serve as the primary point of accountability for project performance and successful delivery of infrastructure investments.

Required Skills & Experience
5–8+ years of infrastructure project management experience
Electric utility experience
Commercial construction management experience
Experience managing capital construction projects from initiation through closeout
Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder communications
Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and external partners
Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs), bid packages, cost estimates, and project documentation
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Experience delivering projects in highly regulated or complex environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting transmission, distribution, or substation projects
Experience with system reliability, capacity expansion, or wildfire mitigation programs
Experience working with utilities, municipalities, agencies, or other external stakeholders
Experience supporting large customer load projects or utility infrastructure expansions
