Position Overview
The Senior Accountant serves as a key financial leader within Zone Enterprises, responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations and delivering accurate, timely monthly financial reporting. This role functions as the company’s primary bookkeeper and will work closely with the VP of Finance to ensure financial integrity, support strategic decision-making, and maintain strong financial discipline across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage the monthly financial close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership
Analyze financial results and provide insights to support operational and strategic decisions
Assist with Accounts Payable oversight, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and process efficiency
Support audits, tax preparation, and external reporting requirements
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to ensure financial alignment

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or B2B environment preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Excel
