Job Description

The research assistant provides preparing reports and presentations based on research findings while maintaining organized records of activities and results. It requires close collaboration with team members and active participation in the projects. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day support in running NIH clinical trial projects as well as assisting with the preparation, editing, and submission of manuscripts and grant applications. The position also ensures accurate research and regulatory documentation in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines, coordinates meetings and research events, and manages scheduling and logistics. Additionally, it involves tracking project timelines, deliverables, and preparing reports and summaries for investigators. Other duties include data entry, document management, and various research-related administrative tasks as needed, along with performing additional responsibilities to ensure efficient research program operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related, scientific, or research discipline.
• Prior experience in research or academic settings (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with grant application processes and research compliance standards.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of IRB processes and federal research regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Professionalism, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
