Job Description
Overview:
Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced ewSuperintendent to oversee the field execution of pump station, utility, and heavy civil construction projects. This individual will provide leadership to field teams, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive projects to successful completion on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing municipal pump station construction, underground utilities, concrete structures, and mechanical installations.
Day to Day:
Manage and oversee multiple pump station and civil utility construction projects.
Lead all field operations from project startup through completion.
Develop and manage schedules, manpower plans, and equipment utilization.
Supervise superintendents, foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
Coordinate vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Resolve field issues and conduct regular site inspections.
Partner with Project Managers on budgets, schedules, costs, and change orders.
Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning, and startup activities.
Oversee installation of lift stations, wet wells, pumps, motors, force mains, gravity sewer, water mains, valve vaults, electrical conduit, mechanical piping, grading, and concrete structures.
Maintain project documentation and reporting.
Participate in project meetings and enforce company policies.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
10+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
5+ years managing pump station, utility infrastructure, or related civil construction projects.
Strong knowledge of municipal pump stations, underground utilities, concrete structures, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work extended hours as project demands require.
