SAP IS-U FICA Lead

We are seeking a Senior SAP IS-U FICA Lead to own the planning, governance, and delivery of SAP IS-U
FICA initiatives for a large utilities client in Phoenix, AZ. This is a solution leadership and deliverymanagement role (with FICA stream) — the candidate will direct and oversee the functional team's
work, manage stakeholders, and drive the project to successful go-live, rather than performing hands-on
configuration. Strong utility industry experience is required to credibly govern a utility-specific FICA
implementation.
Responsibilities
• Lead SAP IS-U FICA projects end-to-end, from planning through go-live, as the
accountable delivery owner.
• Facilitate business requirement workshops with utility stakeholders and validate the
solution design proposed by functional consultants.
• Oversee and review configuration of SAP IS-U FICA processes performed by the
functional team; ensure quality and adherence to design.
• Coordinate with functional and technical teams on integrations, enhancements, and
cross-module dependencies.
• Own project governance: manage timelines, RAID logs, resourcing, testing cycles
(SIT/UAT), and cutover planning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders; prepare and deliver
executive-level project status updates and steering committee presentations.
• Oversee production deployment and post-go-live hypercare, ensuring issues are triaged
and resolved by the team.
• Mentor and guide functional consultants, ensuring delivery quality without personally
performing configuration tasks.
Pay ranges from $60-70/hr based on experience

• 18+ years of SAP experience, including significant experience leading SAP IS-U FICA
programs within the utilities industry.
• Proven track record leading full lifecycle SAP IS-U implementations in a Lead role (not
primarily a hands-on configurator).
• Strong functional command of FICA processes — Payments, Collections, Dunning,
Security Deposits, Installment Plans, Write-offs, and Credit Management — sufficient to
direct, validate, and challenge team deliverables.
• Experience overseeing integration of SAP IS-U with SAP FI and other utility modules
(Device Management, Billing, CRM).
• Prior experience specifically within the utilities domain (electric, gas, or water utility
clients) is required.
• Excellent leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills;
comfortable presenting to senior client leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, timelines, and cross-functional
teams

SAP S/4HANA Utilities experience.
• SAP IS-U Certification.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with SAP Activate and Agile delivery methodologies
