Job Description
Think of this role as a Project Manager dealing with the pre-construction side of work. Understanding client needs and designing the preliminary scope and blueprinting that would then be handed off to construction project managers to actually build/implement.
Manage the design process from concept through construction documents across all disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, MEP, etc.)
Review design documents for constructability, quality, and cost efficiency.
Facilitate design review meetings and manage design progress schedules.
Track and manage design submittals, RFIs, and change documentation.
Support the estimating and preconstruction teams by evaluating design options, materials, and systems for cost and constructability.
Participate in design-build proposals and presentations, contributing to design strategy and technical approach.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and project specifications.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary design point of contact for the client, consultants, and project team.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with procurement, estimating, and construction teams to align design and project execution strategies.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in design management, design-build coordination, or technical project management specifically for Data Centers
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and design collaboration platforms
Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and construction practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with design-build and integrated project delivery (IPD) models preferred.
