Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Working Carpenter/Foreman to join one of our engineering and construction clients in the tri-county area of South Florida. The Working Superintendent manages day‑to‑day field operations by primarily supporting the Project Superintendent across active civil and commercial job sites. Responsibilities include assisting with site setup such as installing barricades, directing traffic, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure work is progressing safely and efficiently. This individual will actively perform hands-on carpentry work—including metal doors, rough and finish carpentry, drywall, framing, and basic finishes—while also leading small crews, troubleshooting field issues, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project plans, local building codes, and company quality standards. The role requires consistent communication with the Project Superintendent, coordination with other trades, and maintaining documentation such as timesheets, material orders, and photo updates in Procore, while helping manage materials and job site logistics to keep projects on schedule. The hourly rate ranges between $20-29.

Required Skills & Experience

• GED/High School Diploma
• 3-5+ years of carpentry experience
• Background installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of products such as commercial metal doors, demo, drywall, framing, and finishes
• Willingness to work with hands and tools constantly
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to report to the Project Superintendent and coordinate subcontractors and field crews effectively

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience on medical/healthcare or school projects
• Experience on with civil projects
• Bilingual in Spanish
OSHA 30 card
