Job Description
Responsible for leading and coordinating cross-functional activities throughout the full lifecycle of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, from early-stage development and pre-construction through construction execution. This role serves as the primary liaison between development, engineering, estimating, supply chain, scheduling, regulatory, environmental, and construction teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet technical, financial, and operational objectives. The Project Engineer drives project feasibility by optimizing technical scope, supporting interconnection and power purchase agreement negotiations, coordinating engineering and procurement activities, and developing robust financial models using market intelligence and project data. Additionally, this position manages the competitive sourcing, negotiation, and execution of key commercial contracts, including engineering, surveying, geotechnical, and EPC services, while representing the Engineering & Construction business unit's interests throughout project development and execution. The successful candidate will leverage strong project management, technical, financial, and stakeholder engagement skills to advance strategic energy infrastructure projects and support executive-level decision-making. This role pays $35-45/hour.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance/Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction preferred.
• Technical experience with renewable energy projects, particularly electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects, is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Six Sigma experience are highly desired.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
