Job Description
The Outreach Coordinator supports Willdan’s Small Business & Nonprofit Program by managing customer outreach, communication, and relationship-building for Con Edison’s energy efficiency initiatives. This role focuses on informing customers—not selling—while ensuring consistent follow-up, organized communication, and strong engagement across diverse business and nonprofit sectors.
Responsibilities include managing inbound leads from Con Edison, conducting outreach to small businesses and nonprofits, supporting customer success surveys, and assisting marketing and contractor engagement efforts. The coordinator uses HubSpot and similar CRMs to send emails, segment contacts, track outreach activity, and maintain communication workflows. The role also involves attending community and industry events, preparing outreach reports, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and program management teams to keep customers informed and engaged.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of outreach, advocacy, community engagement, or relationship management experience.
Proven ability to build connections and follow through with consistent communication.
CRM communication experience (HubSpot strongly preferred).
Ability to set up surveys, send blast emails, segment contacts, and manage communication workflows.
Experience with tools like Pipedrive, Salesforce, Marketo, or Monday.com on the admin/communication side, not sales.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with diverse audiences.
Experience managing many relationships simultaneously.
Organized, proactive, and confident reaching out to new contacts.
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background in energy efficiency, sustainability, or utility programs.
Technical familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, or building systems.
Experience in government, lobbying, advocacy, or public‑facing community work.
Understanding of small business operations and common building concerns.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, engineering, marketing, business, or related field.
CEM or similar certification.
