A client of Insight Global is looking for a Databricks implementation lead to support enterprise data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, guiding, and helping deliver scalable, cloud‑based data platforms, with a strong emphasis on Databricks and data engineering.
This role partners closely with business stakeholders, Agile delivery teams, and the Enterprise Architecture organization to design and implement end‑to‑end data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and future advanced capabilities. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on experience building and operating enterprise data platforms in the cloud and is comfortable balancing implementation leadership with practical, hands‑on engineering work.
Pay varies depending on years of experience - starting at 75/hr

Required Skills & Experience
• 15+ years in data engineering
• 5+ years in an implementation focused role
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and operating enterprise cloud data platforms on Databricks, including end‑to‑end data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, and consumption), Databricks workspace deployment and administration, strong PySpark and Lakehouse architecture experience, and practical exposure to ML workloads, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure
○ Preferred in P&C Insurance company alignment
• Solid cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Background with MDM or previous work structuring an MDM
• Broad understanding of BI tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
○ Databricks / Spark certifications
○ Experience with Informatica MDM, Lake Fusion, Verato
○ BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Qlik, sigma
○ AWS architecture or AI certifications
○ AI and ML apps
