Job Description
The Asset Management Analyst will support the IT Asset Management (ITAM) program across both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). This is a hands-on, physical role: the analyst will move, stage, receive, and stock IT equipment while executing the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets in ServiceNow. The analyst processes HAM and SAM lifecycle requests end to end, maintains accurate records in the ServiceNow ITAM/CMDB modules, and partners closely with IT Procurement, Human Resources, IT Service Center to coordinate hardware and software purchasing, receiving, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with physical inventory work, and able to keep asset data clean and audit-ready.
Responsibilities:
• Asset Handling & Logistics
○ Manage receiving, staging, inventory, and transport of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals, network equipment).
○ Maintain organized stockrooms; prep equipment for deployment, returns, and shipment.
• Hardware & Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM)
○ Execute end-to-end asset lifecycle activities including procurement intake, tracking, deployment, transfers, and disposal.
○ Maintain accurate asset and license records in ServiceNow (HAM/SAM, CMDB).
○ Perform inventory audits and reconcile physical assets with system records.
○ Support IT asset disposal (ITAD) with proper documentation and data security measures.
○ Track software licenses, usage, and compliance; assist with audits, renewals, and cost optimization.
• Procurement & Data Accuracy
○ Coordinate with procurement on purchasing, receiving, and PO validation.
○ Reconcile procurement records with ServiceNow data; maintain vendor and catalog information.
• Reporting & Process Support
○ Generate ITAM reports and dashboards; ensure data accuracy and governance.
○ Follow SLAs and processes; support ServiceNow ticket fulfillment and recommend workflow improvements.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum Qualifications
○ 1–3 years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, inventory/warehouse, or deskside support.
○ Hands-on experience managing IT hardware/software lifecycle.
○ Working knowledge of ServiceNow (ITAM, HAM, SAM, CMDB) or similar tools.
○ Familiarity with procurement processes (POs, receiving, vendor coordination).
○ Proficiency in Excel/data tracking and ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, moving equipment).
• Preferred Qualifications
○ Direct ServiceNow HAM/SAM experience.
○ Experience with inventory systems (asset tagging, barcode/RFID).
○ Knowledge of software licensing/compliance.
○ ITIL or ITAM framework familiarity.
• Key Skills

• Physical Requirements
○ Ability to lift/move ~40–50 lbs and handle equipment regularly.
○ Comfortable standing, moving, and working in stockroom/dock environments.
