Job Description

We are seeking an RVR Engineer to provide Tier 2 engineering support and governance oversight for the firm's Regulated Voice Recording (RVR) environment. This role will serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, compliance teams, vendors, and engineering organizations to ensure the stability, integrity, and compliance of voice recording platforms supporting regulated communications.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting voice recording technologies and cloud-based recording platforms within highly regulated environments. While operational support is a component of the role, the primary focus is technical governance, engineering oversight, issue escalation, platform lifecycle management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory recording requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Cisco Managed Services, which will perform day-to-day platform administration and operational activities. This individual will serve as a bank's engineering representative, providing technical governance, escalation management, vendor coordination, and strategic support for recording platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Support & Governance
• Serve as the Tier 2 engineering escalation point for regulated voice recording platforms.
• Provide technical governance and oversight of Cisco Managed Services and other support vendors.
• Review and validate platform health, recording integrity, service performance, and compliance adherence.
• Troubleshoot recording gaps, system issues, and platform anomalies, driving resolution across multiple support teams.
• Partner with telecom, infrastructure, security, compliance, and vendor teams to maintain a stable recording environment.
• Lead technical investigations for incidents impacting regulated voice recording services.

Platform Lifecycle Management
• Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of recording platforms and services.
• Coordinate vendor software releases, platform upgrades, technology refreshes, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Participate in strategic transformation programs, cloud migrations, and recording technology implementations.
• Assess platform changes and support change management activities to ensure regulatory compliance and operational stability.
• Review architecture changes and provide engineering input for future-state recording solutions.

Note: Candidates working remotely must be available during standard 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST business hours. This position also requires occasional evening and weekend work to support platform upgrades, production changes, maintenance activities, and technology implementations.
Candidates may also sit in Jersey City, NJ. This is offering 36-40/hr. This is a 6-month contract with strong chance of extensions or conversion.
