Job Description

The Senior Safety Coordinator supports environmental and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations; lead internal audits and support external inspections.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track and report plant-wide EHS metrics; submit required permits and compliance documentation on time; drive accountability on action plans.
- Documentation: Maintain and improve EHS procedures, systems, and records to align with regulatory and company standards.
- Training & Support: Train employees on EHS policies and best practices; promote safety awareness; support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety performance and compliance.
- Emergency Preparedness: Support development and testing of emergency response plans related to environmental and safety risks.

Required Skills & Experience

- Associates degree in Occupational Safety, EHS OR Highschool diploma + experience
- 5+ years of experience in safety in manufacturing OR industrial OR construction OR food & beverage environments
o Conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
o Managing OSHA compliance and audits
o Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition and risk assessment, LOTO, fall protection, PPE and industrial hygiene basics
Technical knowledge of incident investigation methodologies, workers' compensation and environmental compliance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience leading a crew
- OSHA 30 (minimum), OSHA 500/510 (strongly preferred)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
- First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor
