Job Description

Role Overview
This is not a traditional process improvement role. Insight Global's client is building a highly visible Automation & AI organization tasked with transforming how they operate. This person will identify, document, redesign, and scale business processes that can be enabled through automation, AI, and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate understands business operations, process improvement, change management, and automation technologies, while also being comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This role will work directly with executive leadership, business stakeholders, architects, developers, and automation teams to identify opportunities, redesign future-state processes, and ensure successful adoption and measurable business outcomes.

Immediate focus areas include New Business and Claims operations. This person will be responsible for documenting existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks and roadblocks, partnering with architects and technical teams on solution design, and driving implementation and business adoption. Success in this role requires a disciplined, process-first mindset and the ability to balance operational excellence with technology-enabled transformation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Identify automation and AI opportunities across operations
• Facilitate process discovery workshops with business stakeholders
• Document current-state business processes and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks
• Analyze current-state processes and design future-state workflows
• Build automation, AI, and operational improvement business cases
• Partner with architects and technical teams to design and deliver solutions
• Manage multiple concurrent process improvement initiatives (typically 4-5 workflows at a time)
• Lead implementation and organizational adoption efforts
• Define and track business value metrics, KPIs, and operational performance improvements
• Drive stakeholder alignment across departments
• Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to leadership
Continuously identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, remove roadblocks, and scale automation and AI capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves
• 4+ years of experience in:

○ Management Consulting
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Proven experience driving measurable operational improvements
• Strong process mapping, process discovery, and business process redesign experience
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation
• Experience translating business problems into technology-enabled solutions
• Strong change management, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
Experience working with KPIs, operational metrics, and data-driven decision making

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Highly Preferred
• UiPath or other RPA platform experience
• AI/ML or Generative AI exposure
• Experience identifying automation and AI opportunities within business processes
• Consulting background (Big 4, boutique consulting, transformation consulting, etc.)
• Experience within insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated environments
• Process mining experience (Celonis, Signavio, etc.)
• SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or analytics experience
Experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environments
