Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms on AWS
- Strong hands-on programming skills in Python and SQL, with working knowledge of Shell scripting
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures, including data lakes and warehouses
- Proficiency with core AWS services- S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda.
- Experience developing and orchestrating data pipelines using ETL/ELT frameworks
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and modern data processing approaches (e.g., Spark/EMR)
Understanding of data modeling, big data concepts, and cloud-native design patterns

Insight Global is hiring an AWS Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures in the AWS cloud environment. This role will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- AWS Solution Architect or Developer certification
- Experience building and supporting real-time or streaming data solutions (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka)
- Understanding of modern data architectures, including Lakehouse and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation)
Knowledge of data governance practices and regulatory/compliance standards
