Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Trading Operations Consultant to join a leading Investment Banking client in New York City. This individual will support the firm's Equities business, playing a key role in mitigating operational risk, enhancing client service, and ensuring the seamless execution of the front-to-back trade lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. equity markets and experience supporting trading operations functions, including soft dollar reconciliation, trade processing, settlement, and exception management. This is a fully onsite role in Midtown NYC requiring 5 days a week onsite.
Key responsibilities
•Perform soft dollar reconciliation and support governance processes
•Match, shape, allocate, and confirm client trades accurately and efficiently
•Manage trade settlement activities across the trade lifecycle
•Investigate and resolve trade exceptions and operational breaks
•Respond to and resolve client and internal stakeholder inquiries
•Support regulatory, control, and reporting requirements related to trading operations
•Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk

Required Skills & Experience
•Bachelor's degree required
•1-4 years of experience in Trading Operations, Middle Office, or a related financial services role
•Experience with soft dollar reconciliation and governance processes
•Knowledge of U.S. equity trading markets and trade lifecycle processes
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•Experience leveraging AI tools or automation solutions to improve operational processes
•Exposure to investment banking, asset management, or institutional trading environments
