Job Description

A top employer in the refining industry is looking for an Instrument Controls Designer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed instrument construction packages and supporting documentation for refinery projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams and contractors, hands-on field verification, and ensuring all designs align with strict safety, environmental, and reliability standards. This is a highly technical, onsite role where the designer will play a key part in ensuring quality and compliance across all phases of design and execution.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in a refinery or heavy industrial environment
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Experience developing instrumentation and controls design packages
- Ability to perform field walkdowns and verify design accuracy
- TWIC card required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with instrumentation (IN) tools
- Experience working with Honeywell systems
