Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a Fortune 500 healthcare organization supporting a high-impact underwriting analytics team. This individual will help improve the accuracy of predictive models used by underwriters to forecast future member prescription utilization and healthcare costs. While machine learning is a component of the role, the primary focus is on deep analytical problem solving, working through massive datasets, and uncovering actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, data manipulation, and modeling.
Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex and highly optimized queries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience working through ambiguous business challenges.
Experience building, evaluating, and interpreting machine learning models.
Proven ability to communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders and executive leadership.
Demonstrated experience working with large-scale datasets.
Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and persistence when uncovering answers from complex data.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, claims, insurance, underwriting, or actuarial data.
Experience in highly regulated or data-intensive industries such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
Experience working with Databricks.
Exposure to Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience migrating or modernizing enterprise data platforms.
Familiarity with healthcare cost prediction, utilization forecasting, or risk modeling.
