Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable, cloud-native data pipelines and services. This role will work closely with Salesforce and broader engineering teams to modernize legacy systems and enable efficient, reliable data flows across platforms. This position plays a key role in transitioning legacy workflows (e.g., NiFi, Java APIs) to modern architectures leveraging GCP and Salesforce Data Cloud, requiring a strong data engineering foundation combined with Salesforce integration experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines in cloud environments (GCP preferred) with integration into Salesforce Data Cloud
• Lead the migration and modernization of legacy workflows (e.g., NiFi, Java APIs) to cloud-native architectures such as Dataflow and Pub/Sub
• Develop and maintain distributed data processing systems using technologies like Spark and Hadoop ecosystem tools
• Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging frameworks
• Partner with Salesforce teams on data modeling, ingestion strategies, and synchronization processes
• Apply working knowledge of Salesforce platform fundamentals (data model, APIs, security) in solution design
• Develop backend services (e.g., Java, Spring Boot) supporting data pipelines and integration use cases
• Ensure observability, reliability, and performance optimization of pipelines and data systems
• Leverage containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices to enable scalable and efficient deployments

Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering roles
• Strong experience with GCP services such as:
○ Dataflow
○ Pub/Sub
○ BigQuery (preferred)
• Hands-on experience building modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem)
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (or similar backend frameworks)
• Experience designing and implementing API-based and event-driven integrations
• Working knowledge of Salesforce platform fundamentals:
○ Data model and object relationships
○ APIs (REST/Bulk)
○ Data ingestion patterns
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) or similar customer data platforms
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data architecture, system design, and scalability principles
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) implementations
• Exposure to NiFi or legacy workflow transformation
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms (Kafka or similar)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data ecosystems
