Grinder

This Grinder position is responsible for helping manufacture and finish heavy equipment components made from steel. The person in this role will use grinders and other hand tools to clean, smooth, and prepare metal parts by removing excess material, rough edges, and weld splatter. They will inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards, follow work instructions and drawings, and assist with moving and preparing materials throughout the production process. The Grinder will work closely with other production team members to meet manufacturing goals and deadlines while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following all company safety and quality procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys hands-on work, and has experience working with steel, hand tools, or in a manufacturing setting.

Location: Chesapeake VA.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime: Optional overtime available on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays

Compensation: $19/hr-$22/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

• Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity working with steel materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.

• Experience operating grinding equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Previous experience in heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, or fabrication environments.
