Job Description
The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance across facilities. This role operates independently without direct reports, receiving daily work orders from a director and responding to on-site service requests. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing minor repairs, and escalating more complex problems to specialized vendors when necessary. The technician will also support preventive maintenance and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role with an early shift (typically starting around 6–7 AM) and offers a consistent 8-hour workday

Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3+ years of HVAC experience (3–7 years preferred overall)
- EPA Universal HVAC Certification (required)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems independently
- Ability to perform minor repairs on-site and escalate larger issues when needed
- Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), especially in commercial environments (e.g., Siemens)
- Ability to follow work orders, safety procedures, and maintenance schedules
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Previous experience working with commercial HVAC systems and automation systems (BAS/BMS)
- Experience using CMMS systems for documenting work and maintenance tracking
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams
