Job Description
Reporting to and being mentored by the Director, this individual will serve as the sole Project Engineer supporting three project sites. While 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in commercial construction is preferred, the most important qualifications are strong soft skills, including excellent communication, organization, and the ability to effectively collaborate with and facilitate meetings among diverse stakeholder groups.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing three active projects and coordinating with key stakeholders, including architects, general contractors, and internal teams. This individual will lead weekly contractor meetings and support all phases of the project lifecycle. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing construction drawings, managing the RFI and submittal processes, coordinating OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring effective communication among project stakeholders from project initiation through closeout. Hybrid role - will be on site in one of the following locations once a week or once every two weeks: Gardenia, Pasadena, and potentially Riverside. When not visiting sites during the week, may be at company's headquarters in Irvine.

Required Skills & Experience
Around 2 years of experience working in commercial construction as a Project Engineer or Jr PM
Extremely strong soft skills - great communication, extremely organized, ability to work alongside various stakeholders and lead mtgs with 10-15 people at a time
Understanding of commercial construction project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout, with:
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Familiarity with the RFI and submittal processes
• Experience creating and maintaining project schedules and managing project documentation and communication between stakeholders
• Coordinating and leading OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings
