Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Python Developer for a top financial services client within Equities Technology. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role focused on expanding an LLM-enabled workflow platform supporting research, sales, and trading teams. The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering fundamentals with experience building data-intensive or AI-powered applications in regulated environments. This individual will work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, governed, and production-ready solutions. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days a week onsite.

Day-to-Day:
•Partner with product, business, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs
•Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and workflow orchestration for research, sales, and trading use cases
•Expand and scale LLM-enabled workflows including summarization, Q&A, drafting, and event/earnings analysis
•Integrate internal content and third-party data sources to support grounded application behavior
•Develop evaluation checks to improve output quality, consistency, and traceability
•Build governance and compliance controls (restricted list validation, audit logs, supervisory review)
•Support multi-LLM experimentation and provider integrations
•Collaborate with UX, QA, and support teams on testing, releases, and continuous improvement
•Contribute to architecture decisions, balancing rapid iteration with secure, maintainable code

Required Skills & Experience

•5-10 years of experience in Python development, backend engineering, or workflow/application development
•Strong hands-on Python experience (APIs, automation, data processing, testing)
•Strong SQL skills (queries, validation, relational data concepts)
•Experience building backend services, APIs, and workflow orchestration
•Experience with REST/API integrations (internal platforms and third-party providers)
•Familiarity with Databricks or comparable modern data platforms
•Understanding of application controls, auditability, and secure development in regulated environments
•Strong communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

•Experience building LLM-enabled or data-intensive applications
•Exposure to prompt orchestration, evaluation, or output validation workflows
•Background in financial services or other complex enterprise environments
•Experience with ML/LLM experimentation and optimization (quality, latency, cost)
•Knowledge of governance, compliance tooling, and approval workflows
