Job Description

Day to day:
This Senior Security Analyst will operate as a key individual contributor on a small but collaborative security team, owning core operational security functions across the organization. On a daily basis, they will review and prioritize vulnerabilities identified through scans, partner with infrastructure and application teams to ensure remediation, and track progress through completion. They will actively monitor Microsoft Defender alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and assist in incident response efforts including triage and documentation. The role also involves automating repetitive security tasks, maintaining certificate inventories and renewals, and developing reporting dashboards to communicate risk posture and remediation effectiveness. Overall, this person will play a critical role in strengthening Rotary’s security posture by proactively identifying risks, coordinating mitigation, and driving improvements across teams.
Responsibilities:
X Lead vulnerability management program and track remediation across systems
X Monitor and investigate security alerts and support incident response
X Administer and optimize Microsoft Defender across server environments
X Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting for security posture
X Implement automation to improve security operations efficiency
X Manage certificate lifecycle including tracking, renewal, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
X Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
X 3–5+ years of cybersecurity / security operations / vulnerability management experience
X Experience with vulnerability management platforms and remediation processes
X Experience administering EDR tools (preferably Microsoft Defender)
X Experience investigating security alerts and supporting incident response
X Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
X Experience with security automation and workflow optimization
X Experience with certificate lifecycle management
X Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices (NIST, CIS, etc.)
