Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and the full accounting cycle. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial data while providing insights to support business decisions. In a heavy equipment environment, the position also supports inventory accounting, equipment-related transactions, and operational financial processes, while maintaining strong internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- lead full-cycle accounting, including general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting
- manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and cash flow
- oversee inventory and equipment-related accounting, including tracking and valuation
- manage AP, AR, banking activities, and payroll processing
- maintain internal controls and partner with operations to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- leading team of 2-3 accountants

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA designation or in progress is a huge asset
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with inventory and operational accounting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
