Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a Vancouver-based retail client. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Information Services, this individual will play a key role in driving complex digital transformation and ERP initiatives by partnering with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes, and deliver scalable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong experience in ERP implementations, process redesign, systems integration, data migration, and solution validation. They possess exceptional stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, validation, prioritization, and traceability activities across complex technology initiatives.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to define business, functional, technical, integration, reporting, and data requirements.
- Develop and maintain key business analysis artifacts, including requirements documentation, user stories, process maps, use cases, business rules, and impact assessments.
- Analyze current-state processes and systems, identify improvement opportunities, and design future-state operating models.
- Conduct gap analysis, root cause analysis, feasibility assessments, and solution evaluations.
- Partner with technical teams, architects, developers, and vendors to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Lead business analysis efforts for ERP and enterprise application implementations, including process design, integrations, reporting, configuration, and readiness planning.
- Define and document data requirements, migration strategies, transformation logic, source-to-target mappings, and data quality standards.
- Support testing, user acceptance activities, defect resolution, and implementation readiness.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and technical leads to identify risks, dependencies, assumptions, and business impacts.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, SharePoint, and Excel to support project delivery and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of progressive business analysis experience in a lead/primary BA role on complex technology and business transformation initiatives
• Demonstrated experience applying senior business analysis practices aligned to BABOK
• IIBA designation (e.g. CCBA, CBAP) or a comparable professional designation is preferred.
• Strong experience working on complex technical projects involving enterprise applications, systems integration, workflow redesign, reporting, and cross-functional process transformation.
• Strong hands-on experience across multiple phases of ERP implementations
• Proven experience supporting data architecture and data transformation initiatives
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools and common business analysis platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and Excel; SQL and reporting tool exposure is an asset.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build alignment across business and technical teams.
• Highly analytical, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in using AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to aid in the delivery of Business Analysis processes and deliverables
