Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Machinist with expertise in precision cylindrical grinding to support the development and manufacturing of high-performance bearing assemblies used in advanced imaging systems for one of our medical device customers.
This role combines hands-on machining with technical process development. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Leadership teams to refine manufacturing methods, develop procedures, support equipment selection, and drive continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is a collaborative technical expert who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges while remaining hands-on in the production environment.
This position does not have direct people management responsibilities but will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert within the organization.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Strong cylindrical grinding experience (OD, ID, or precision cylindrical grinding).
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Advanced understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience holding tight precision tolerances.
Strong metrology and inspection experience.

Direct bearing manufacturing experience.
High-temperature bearing manufacturing.
Vacuum system manufacturing.
X-ray tube manufacturing.
Semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
