Be The Light.

Together, we are working to bring healthcare to communities around the globe that need it most.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

Aligned with Insight Global's value to Be The Light to the world around us, we started our partnership with One World Health in 2020, stretching from Central America to East Africa. In line with One World Health's mission to provide quality, sustainable healthcare to those who need it most, we've contributed more than $3.5 million to provide life-saving care now and for generations to come.

We’re committed to continuing to Be The Light by multiplying our impact and building 10 facilities by 2025.

A Light

A trip to Uganda in 2019 turned on a light for Chief Operating Officer Tim Stutz.

On this trip, he met our friend Melissa. Melissa was nine years old at the time and lives in Uganda. She had a cut on her arm, but her family didn’t have access to clean water or to a doctor to get her cut treated. It quickly became infected, her arm had to be amputated, and she needed several surgeries.

OneWorld Health was able to provide life-saving access to care for Melissa and this encounter left Tim wondering how the Insight Global community could Be The Light for more people across the globe.

A Light

Amara, treated at the Grit Inpatient Center in Bweyale, Uganda

"When my baby was born, she wasn't moving or crying," said Amara, who delivered her second child at 34 weeks. "It was very scary, but thankfully, the midwife immediately called the doctor and worked to help my baby start breathing. She was very weak and needed oxygen, but they took care of her for several days so that she would be healthy. I am so grateful for the wonderful care we both received at Bweyale Kitara Medical Center’s new maternity ward."

OUR IMPACT

More than numbers, our partnership is bringing light to individuals, families, and communities. Here’s some of the stories that have brought joy and light to us.

Construction Begins at Kyenjojo

Last year, Insight Global raised funds to support the construction of a new outpatient facility in Kyenjojo, Uganda. Kyenjojo is in the western region of Uganda and we’re thrilled to be bringing OneWorld Health medical care to this amazing community of people. We are launching a new hub facility, inpatient and outpatient care facilities, a maternity ward, a lab, staff housing, and a guest house for medical students and volunteers . Through our partnerships with the Church of Uganda and Kyenjojo's District Health Office, we’ll be able to deliver high-quality, affordable healthcare for generations to come. We anticipate treating over 5,000 patients in the first year, and 100,000 patients in the first decade.

Construction Begins at Bweyale

Last year, Insight Global raised funds to support the construction of a new inpatient facility in Bweyale, Uganda. In Bweyale, Uganda, we continue to provide high-quality care at our Bweyale facility. The staff at Bweyale has delivered nearly 150 babies since opening its doors last spring. The facility does not have a maternity ward, but instead has an exam room to deliver in and an office converted into a recovery room. It has electricity, clean water, sterile tools and knowledgeable staff, so it is considered the best option for many in the region. Thanks to our partnership with Insight Global, we recently broke ground on a new maternity ward at Bweyale Kitara Medical Center, which will allow us to serve more mothers and babies well for generations to come. You can view some photos from construction here and we look forward to sharing more soon!
