Insight Global oversees a program with this client that is dedicated to AI discovery that will further technological advancements across the organization. Embodied AI is a team within Meta FAIR Labs... that focuses on the science and engineering of intelligent machines with a physical or virtual embodiment. Within Embodied AI we have a Platforms pillar that develops physical and virtual systems to collect data for AI model building, demonstrate capabilities, and develop and test scenarios for foundation models for Embodied AI research efforts. This team in particular works on in-house robots, running machine learning and reinforcement learning experiments to study different tasks such as putting a toy into a basket and helping to clean a room alongside a human. This consists of reviewing recorded locations inside of a physical environment and creating a test framework to study if the robot can navigate safely inside by troubleshooting sensors, the quality of viewpoints through cameras, audio inputs, how well it aligns with the area it was supposed to go, was it able to grasp the object, and other error margins. The Robotic Systems Integrator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing robotic experiments. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, test, and deploy robotics solutions in real-world applications.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the build of in-house robotsRun robot experiments on physical robotRun robot experiments on fair clusterLab tools order and setupDevelop and maintain testing fixtures and assets specifically for robot evaluations. Perform debugging and initial troubleshooting during the early stages of robot testing, ensuring attention to detail and effective communication.
