Job Description

A qualified Construction Manager will have advanced knowledge and comprehension of building plans, knowledge of planning and forecasting construction schedules, proficient in managing multiple projects and details simultaneously and strong budget management and client relationship skills. They should be able to successfully oversee up to 10 residential new-build construction projects from ground breaking initial construction to completion. Will work cross functionally on logistics coordination with other design team members, and should be comfortable having a high degree of communication with clients & subcontractors on a daily basis. Should be skilled in problem solving & resourcing on the job, while ensuring work meets building code & quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10 years prior experience in residential construction management
Ability to be self-sufficient while managing multiple clients in various stages of the construction process
Thorough understanding of full life cycle construction process for residential design (spanning from permitting, excavation, foundation, rough carpentry, sub-contractor management, and finishes)
Strong client relationship skills
Previous work with inspection reporting, milestone management, and budget comprehension

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous work within construction or working for vendors or sub-contractors and understanding the work from the opposite side (delivery) of the construction process.
