The ECM delivers training programs and provides other advice to management on practical and necessary steps to prevent or abate pollution arising from operations and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements contained within a variety of environmental permits, plans and policies. The ECM provides appropriate notifications to management and appropriate regulatory agencies.The ECM maintains regional metals recycling and automobile salvage facilities in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, standards, and permits and has responsibilityfor maintaining facility compliance with applicable environmental permit conditions. The ECM has direct responsibility for these compliance activities through management of the Regional Environmental Managers (REMs) within their assigned region. The ECM develops and oversees a comprehensive program for REM professional development and advancement.This position operates within flexible parameters.
