Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Process Development R&D Chemist or Chemical Engineer who will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling up chemical processes for the production of petroleum additives. This role involves working closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design and Optimization: Develop and optimize chemical processes for the production of petroleum additives, ensuring high efficiency and product quality.
- Scale-Up: Lead the scale-up of laboratory processes to pilot and full-scale production, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into manufacturing.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct experiments and analyze data to validate process performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of process development activities, including experimental data, process parameters, and technical reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemical engineering and process technology to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Required Skills & Experience

- PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering ( This is an entry-level to early-career PhD level position.)
- Knowledge and experience on manufacturing techniques and engineering requirements, synthesis/production of organic and organometallic materials, kinetic and mechanism studies, and organic material characterizations.
- This team works collaboratively to bridge the gap between the development of new products and the production of them at scale, so candidates should be capable of working with a wide array of individuals and teams.
