As a Purchasing Manager, you'll manage inventory levels to address overstock and shortages, using modern ERP and MRP systems like Oracle or SaaS. You'll lead continuous improvement initiatives, rebuild processes, and handle data analysis, considering aspects such as hydraulics, electrical, and engineering. You'll manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and guide your team towards achieving metrics and targets. Overseeing a team of 8 buyers, you'll assign tasks based on specific activities, including aftermarket, indirect requisitions, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
Day-to-day, you'll release plan orders, transform requisitions into purchase orders (POs), set supply and safety metrics, and process orders. You'll engage in planning and sourcing initiatives, manage the ERP/MRP system, support team initiatives, communicate with suppliers, identify cost savings, and coordinate with corporate procurement.
