We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our clients team in the Trailer Leasing and Rental space. This individual will begin as a part time employee, and eventually ramp up to a full 40 hour work week in May.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of key roles, including Financial Reporting & Analysis, Month-End Closing, Budgeting, Internal Controls & Compliance, managing the Fixed Asset Register, and coordinating the Annual Audit. Essential duties include performing accounting journal entries and transactions to support business operations and month-end closing, reconciling financial ledgers and bank accounts, and maintaining the fixed asset accounting register, PP&E roll-forward, and capitalized fixed asset purchases. Additionally, the role involves processing, posting, and paying trailer sale transactions, managing wire and ACH disbursements, posting cash receipts, and processing bank deposits. The candidate will also manage the daily positive pay process, oversee accounting and analysis of the trailer floorplan, and sustain and enhance the integrity of company financial processes and records through the management of the internal audit function. Furthermore, the Financial Accountant will assist with the collection of data required for year-end audit and tax returns, prepare and analyze monthly financial reports on expenses and inventory, and apply accounting expertise as a trusted advisor to business operations. Maintaining accounting controls and making recommendations on policies, procedures, and process improvements are also critical aspects of this role.
