Mechanical Pump Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Pump Engineer in Duncan, OK for a large oil and gas client. This person will be supporting both new product development and existing products for high pressure pumps used in oil field services focused on plunger pump components or assemblies. The pump engineer will be involved with complex design activities for high pressure plunger pumps including development, testing, interpreting operating data, and interfacing with both manufacturing and operations. They will develop individual pump components, such as valves, seats, plungers, power train components, and/or sensors to drive performance, reliability, and safety metrics. Additionally, they will utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to identify and drive design improvements based on operating data. They will support the new and existing products through full product lifecycle including concept generation, development, testing, failure analysis, and technical support/troubleshooting of high-pressure plunger pumps.

Targeted Pay Rate Range: $55 - $65/hour

6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Experience designing, developing, and testing high pressure pumping components (specifically positive displacement pumps)

Able to draft and interpret design specifications, drawings, and bill of materials for new product development

Experience leading and assisting analytical evaluation of high-pressure plunger pump designs for structural integrity, fluid flow capability and exposure to vibration, corrosion, and erosion.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field

Willingness to relocate to Duncan, OK and work onsite

Does not have a non-compete

Ability to perform CFD/structural Finite Element Analysis

Oil and gas industry experience
