Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic HR Manager to lead across our US based agencies in New York City and Los Angeles offices. This role will play a pivotal part in partnering with the Global HR Director to develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support our business objectives with a keen focus on the US market. The HR Manager will be instrumental in fostering an engaging, inclusive, and productive workplace environment, ensuring that our HR practices align with the creative and innovative spirit of our agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Global HR Director to craft and execute HR strategies that enhance our organizational effectiveness and align with our business goals across the US, particularly within the NYC and LA markets.
Talent Management: Spearhead all facets of talent management, from recruiting creative talents to facilitating their onboarding, managing their performance, aiding in their career development, orchestrating succession planning, and implementing retention strategies that reflect the uniqueness of the creative sector.
Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, offering expert guidance in line with US labor laws and our agency policies. Tackle complex issues head-on to maintain a harmonious and positive work environment.
Compensation and Benefits: Direct the creation and execution of competitive compensation and benefits packages, ensuring they comply with the varying federal, state, and local laws, particularly those unique to New York and California.
Training and Development: Identify and assess training needs to design and deliver development programs that enhance the skill sets and competencies of our team, promoting a culture steeped in continuous learning and professional growth.
Diversity and Inclusion: Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a workplace that values and respects diverse backgrounds and viewpoints, fostering creativity and innovation.
HR Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment regulations, with a special focus on the distinct legal landscapes of New York and California.
HR Administration: Oversee all HR administrative tasks, including the management of payroll, implementation and management of HRIS, and employee records, guaranteeing accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal standards.
Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR Coordinator, supporting their professional development and ensuring they are equipped to contribute effectively to our HR objectives.

Compensation: $42-45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or relevant HR certification preferred.
At least 7 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, ideally within the creative industry or similar.
Expertise in US employment laws with a specific focus on New York and California's unique legal requirements.
Demonstrated ability in managing HR across multiple locations, with a sensitivity to cultural and regional differences.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire a diverse team.
Proven track record in developing effective HR strategies and programs."
