Insight Global is looking to add 2 DevOps Engineers to our client's team in the St. Louis, MO area. These individuals will be supporting a team dedicated to an online ordering platform designed to... The engineers will be building out an entirely new project which allows for customers to cancel subscriptions online versus over the phone. This project will go live May of 2025. They will be the only 2 individuals on the new team outside of a Tech Lead who will assist with overseeing the operations and working with an architect who they will gather the requirements from. The individuals will be troubleshooting applications hosted in AWS on EKS and EC2, using Splunk log analysis for application troubleshooting, using various APM tools such as DatatDog, AppDynamics, or NewRelic to troubleshoot and monitor the application. With this being a new project they are still designing the environment but will be using either Oracle (on prem) or Mongo databases. It is expected to have an understanding in areas such as JDBC connection utilization and troubleshooting, connection pool/query/cache optimization, and have the ability to analyze DB reports like AWR and make recommendations. These individuals are expected to have experience creating and maintaining automated pipelines with tools like Gitlab and Jenkins and to have Linux knowledge to support applications running in a Linux environment along with shell scripting for automation of administration tasks. 40-50% of the work for one of the individuals will be focused on security needs, working closely with the org's security POC responsible for PCI and compliance requirement needs from IT. Kubernettes, Helm Charts, and Terraform will also be used on a daily basis.
