General Manager - Kia

Job Description
Insight Global is partnering with a well-established automotive dealership group in the Los Angeles area to hire a General Manager for a Kia dealership in Santa Monica. This individual will take ownership of a high-visibility location that is currently underperforming and requires a hands-on leader to drive operational improvement, rebuild team structure, and increase overall store performance.
This is a highly engaged leadership role within a smaller dealership group, where the GM will be expected to roll up their sleeves, lead by example, and actively participate in day-to-day dealership operations. The ideal candidate thrives in turnaround environments and has a proven ability to build, mentor, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all day-to-day dealership operations including sales, operations, and team performance
• Drive revenue growth and improve store performance in a turnaround environment
• Recruit, develop, and manage Sales Managers and dealership staff
• Establish strong processes, accountability, and performance expectations across teams
• Partner with leadership to align on business goals, KPIs, and performance targets
• Improve customer experience, increase showroom traffic, and drive sales conversion
• Maintain strong visibility on the floor and actively support the sales team
Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational guidelines

Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of automotive dealership management experience
• Prior experience as a General Manager, GSM, or senior dealership leader
• Proven success in a turnaround or underperforming store environment
• Strong leadership experience managing multiple Sales Managers and teams
• Ability to be highly hands-on and operationally involved
Strong business acumen with a focus on revenue growth and profitability

Compensation:

$100,000 to $150,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
