Job Description

For $250k, as a software engineer specializing in convertible bonds in our Macro Front Office Technology group, you will be responsible for overseeing the buildout of services, applications, and workflows focused on supporting our convertible bond business. The focus will be primarily on, but not limited to, integration and support of vendor systems, integration of analytics related to P&L and risk into the broader Macro ecosystem, and supporting the needs of the convertible bond trading desks. Specifically, you will:

Implement critical workflows across trade booking, P&L and risk reporting and properly integrate these into a range of downstream systems, including user interactive tools and official risk P&L and risk systems
Integrate a range of third-party specialized vendor systems such as Monis and Kynex into day-to-day trading and reporting activities
Provide prompt support and a high level of service to all downstream consumers including portfolio managers, Macro management, risk managers, and Valuations
Proactively drive efficiency across convertible bond related BAU processes to improve the overall quality and efficiency of daily technology operations

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in finance, specifically in the area of convertible bonds
- Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of Monis as a vendor system, including familiarity with its application to both front office trading and middle office trading support
- Hands-on experience with Kynex and its capabilities in security and portfolio analysis
- Proficiency in C#, SQL, and Python
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
