JOB SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a Director of Purchasing for their HVAC Department. You will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to HVAC equipment, materials, and supplies. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing strategies, vendor management, contract negotiations, and inventory control while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance for HVAC materials and equipment.
Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to forecast purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Establish and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure adequate supply levels.
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to HVAC procurement.
Drive process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives within the purchasing function.
Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Lead and develop a team of purchasing and inventory professionals, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
Pay Rate: $115K-$125K

-Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
-Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on HVAC or construction materials.
-Experience leading a team as a manager or supervisor
