Job Description

An employer is looking for a Community Planner to support the mission of operating and maintaining Scott AFB's facilities and infrastructure. They will develop a thorough understanding of the installation's long and short range development plans, including constraints, opportunities, land use and encroachment to make siting recommendations. The individual will coordinate with customers, facility managers and other Government personnel, to ensure siting is consistent with land use plans, appropriate alternatives are developed and ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, FSOP, and Air Force regulations. Personnel will participate in planning/design charrette activities; review project plans, designs and submittals; and assist in managing off-base planning coordination activities. Additionally, the selected candidate shall maintain current planning information in the Government's approved system of record; populate, maintain and update base plans and data with the AF's Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP) digital system.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in City/Urban Community or Regional Planning, Environmental Science or Engineering

· 3+ years of experience with Air Force Civil Engineering planning (MILCON programming and cost estimation) OR State/City/Facilities/ Planning

· Experience with CPP, Adobe Acrobat applications and NexGen IT

· Experience with design, reviewing designs, interior design and construction projects for the Air Force or DOD

Ability to obtain public trust

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· MILCON/DOD EXPERIENCE

· Previously held clearance

· Master's Degree

· Experience with software's: TRIRIGA, BUILDER (Sustainment Management System), E4Clicks

Experience reviewing AF From 123 and DD Form 1354
