An employer is seeking an Senior IT Project Manager to join their team based in Hartford, CT. This will be primarily a remote role but may require occasional travel onsite. This is open because the client has a large portfolio of projects kicking off and continuing in 2024 and are in need of hiring Senior Project Managers to oversee the various initiatives. This group is responsible for managing IT projects within the digital portfolio. This Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for owning various projects from concept through creation and may be involved in various different projects throughout their tenue. Projects may vary between various application development and upgrade efforts. They will be in charge of driving all project needs including project plans, timelines, and distributing tasks across the functional teams involved. They will be responsible for managing project budget and overseeing and assigning tasks throughout the duration of the project. Portions of this project will follow both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, so the Senior IT Project Manager should be flexible from a management perspective. This person will also be responsible for helping with PMO coordination efforts for putting out RFQs and managing the vendor process, and helping with PMO allocation and overall oversight. The ideal individual will have exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, while being able to work in and manage cross-functional teams.
