Insight Global is hiring for a Construction Inspector to join one of our Engineering and Construction clients. We have an opening for a construction inspector in Bridgeport, CT to support a local Water company with 125 services; with the potential to amount to thousands.
The inspector is expected to be onsite from 7 AM - 3:30 PM working alongside the general contractor to perform maintenance and installation services around water lines. This includes monitoring a general contractor onsite, reading construction drawings/specs onsite, ensuring compliance with health and building codes, tracking bid items, and thorough documentation via daily field reports with photo attachments in Microsoft Word. It is required that this person be reliable, punctual, a good communicator & has the ability to showcase strong documentation skills in their reports.
*A valid driver's license, clean background check and drug test is required to be considered for this position.

1+ years of experience as an Inspector - Construction Background
OSHA 10 Certification
Previous experience reading construction drawings/specs and submitting detailed daily field reports
Demonstrated ability of detailed documentation
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Has own transportation and holds a valid drivers license (will not be able to expense per diem or tolls)
Reliable, excellent communication skills
