Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electromechanical systems. This role involves troubleshooting, system validation, and implementing system modifications in both shipboard and shop environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail, along with the ability to work independently and travel as needed.

Pay range is based on experience at 25/hr to 40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

-Required minimum of 6 years of experience on a ship doing electrical work
-Perform installation, repair, overhaul, and modification of electrical and electromechanical systems and components
-Troubleshoot system and component issues to identify root causes and implement corrective solutions
-Follow detailed technical procedures, schematics, and work instructions to complete electrical operations accurately
-Support system checkouts, “grooming,” and configuration validation efforts
-Assist with field service activities, including on-site diagnostics and minor repairs
-Prepare and install system or equipment modifications in accordance with technical specifications
-Conduct evaluations and testing of electrical systems and components in shipboard or shop environments
