Job Description
An employer is seeking a skilled on-site Senior .NET Developer with strong technical leadership skills to lead a team, drive proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, and own the end-to-end development and delivery of enterprise applications for a high priority unemployment insurance project for the State of New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, delivery focused, and comfortable working across architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and production support. This role will start as a 6-month contract but could extend longer depending on budget availability and performance. There could be the potential to convert to a permanent employee down the line, however that’s based on performance and project scope and is not guaranteed at this time. This role is an on site position, and the ideal candidate will be able to commute to their location in Albuquerque, New Mexico 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a development team and provide technical direction
• Design, develop, and deliver enterprise applications end to end
• Build and evaluate proof-of-concepts to support solution decisions
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and ensure application stability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support application maintenance, enhancements, and production issue resolution
• Work with databases and cloud services in a scalable enterprise environment

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in .NET development - ideally at least 5 years
• Proven ability to lead a team and mentor developers
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade applications
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or AWS RDS
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based application development
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• IBM FileNet experience
• IBM Datacap experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently and drive work from concept to delivery
• Experience in fast-paced enterprise environments
