Job Description

IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Bill Rate: $101.38
Pay Rate: $55-$63/hr
Location: Sacramento Valley Region (Roseville, Auburn, Sacramento Valley with occasional travel to the Central Valley)
Duration: 2-Year Contract (possibility of extension)
Start Date: End of August / Early September
Travel: Approximately 25% (driving around the area)
• Primary project locations include Sacramento Valley, Roseville, and Auburn.
• Occasional travel may be required to the Central Valley.

Position Overview
Kaiser is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to support a portfolio of infrastructure initiatives across Northern California. This role is a backfill position designed to allow internal full-time resources to focus on strategic projects in Reno. The ideal candidate is a seasoned infrastructure PM who can work independently, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and adapt to evolving business needs.
This is a highly visible role that requires strong partnership skills, curiosity, and the ability to lead projects within a matrixed organization without direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead IT infrastructure projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Coordinate technical resources, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Support initiatives involving:
○ Network switch and router
○ New hospital builds
○ Hospital IT infrastructure modernization efforts
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, estimating, and financial tracking.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication among internal teams, leadership, and external partners.
Drive accountability and project execution within a matrixed environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Project Management experience leading IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong background managing infrastructure-related initiatives (like: networking, routers, switches, data centers, and other related technologies)
• Advanced experience with:
○ Microsoft Project
○ Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience creating, managing, and maintaining detailed project schedules.
Strong organizational, budgeting, and financial management skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting construction-related technology projects.
• SharePoint experience.
• Experience working within healthcare or highly regulated environments.
Knowledge of infrastructure deployment and modernization projects.
